We were very pleased with the hotel and our room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had air conditioning but we preferred to open the window. It was very quiet and we were not disturbed by outside noises. There is a pleasant walk by the river to the city centre or you can walk on the main road. It only took about ten to fifteen minutes to get to the Head of the River pub and the main attractions are only a ten to fifteen minute walk from there. There was plenty of parking spaces and it was included in the price when we booked.

The room was quiet, large, clean, comfortable and newly fitted -- not a musty old hotel in the city. The bed and bath were spacious. We looked out our window at a beautiful meadow with horses. The indoor swimming pool was large and clean and refreshing. We found plenty of vegetarian options at the buffet breakfast (although porridge shouldn't cost extra if you're not eating meat and eggs). The walk to town didn't wear us out. In fact we enjoyed returning to our quiet location along the river and near the meadows. If we come back to Oxford, we will stay here again.

I booked the room for my parents. They stayed here in 2019 and enjoyed it and therefore I booked the same place again. The hotel is not as central as other hotels in Oxford, but the environment is very good and quiet and you can enjoy nice walks nearby. It is close to River Thames and Hinskey lake, with about 15 min walk from the city centre. The room itself is nice and comfortable with a balcony. It is really good that the rooms now have air-conditioning. The maintenance team and housekeeping team are great and very efficient. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice. The hotel also has a small but very good swimming pool. The staff working there are very friendly and they provided umbrella to guests during rainy days.

We stayed at Voco Spires as it was close to town, with the added perk of spa facilities. We were treated to a pretty towel swan and glitter on the bed with a Birthday card from the hotel as it was my husbands 50th birthday. The food was good, the hotel was modern and clean with tea and coffee facilities in the room. The shower in the bathroom had good pressure. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are small but clean and enough for what we required. Nice place to stay with direct access to the river path to walk to town.

The property itself is a sweet oasis from the crowded and busy historical centre ( birds / horses / trees blowing on a large pastoral setting ,, also deer ). The staff were very professional ( Daniel at reception and wonderful Mali to greet at breakfast , both wonderful). The beds were the best of our 16 days away ( and we stayed at 4 hotels on the Amalfi coast ( with similar costs ), and the pillows were absolute Heaven . Breakfast AWESOME ! , and lovely river walk nearby .. It was a wonderful stay ( to attend a wedding at the Bodelian Divinity school ), and we’re always so happy to return to this hotel

At reception Romanian lade very nice and friendly explain everything and inform you everything about the area and all things to do in the hotel she also mentioned about the fire exit and all the points to get out safely! We like the restaurant, bar, and the little terrace outside, and you're surrounded by nature. The spa was amazing, jacuzzi a bit small but was good, cause if you go there nobody disturb you...etc. and yeah, I'll go again. So if you like a quiet place and love nature, that is the best place to go.

Great stay! The rooms were spacious, with the most comfortable bed and pillows. Our room was very clean, and was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Breakfast was so delicious, all fresh and flavourful, whilst the breakfast staff and host were so welcoming and helpful. We didn’t dine in the evening, but I’m sure it would’ve been equally marvellous. The hotel was conveniently only 15/20min walk into town, whether you choose to walk along the river or the road.

The location was great and walk down the river into Oxford was lovely. We were fortunate the sun was shining. The decor in the hotel was gorgeous. The bar and patio area was lovely and our room was huge. Ground floor overlooking the garden No.25. Loved it. The breakfast was varied, hot and of good quality. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend this hotel

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially during breakfast. The room was good size and clean; had everything we needed (e.g. iron) without asking room service. Hotel décor is nice. Gym has modern equipment. Oxford city centre is within walking distance. Nearby there is a Thames path and a horse field, which set the hotel in a beautiful surrounding.
